E-Learning Performance In Higher Institutions Of Learning In Arua City, Uganda. A Study Of Muni University. (Issue 12)
The aim of this study is to examine e-learning performance in higher institutions of learning in arua city, Uganda.
A case of Muni University. There has been limited access to e-learning in most institutions of higher learning in
arua city, Uganda. Hence affecting the students’ academic performance. This has been attributed to a number of
factors including; unorganized ICT infrastructure, low level of internet sources, electricity problems, few number
of facilitators (Peter Okidi, 2009). From the findings, the correlation coefficient of .769 indicates a strong positive
correlation between e-learning performance and e-learning platforms. This means that as the scores on one
variable increase, the scores on the other variable also tend to increase. The significance value of .000 indicates
that the correlation is statistically significant at the 0.05 level (or 5% level). In other words, there is less than a
5% probability that the correlation occurred by chance. We can be confident that there is a real correlation between
the two variables in the population. The Researcher therefore, intends to address the problem of low emphasis
on e-learning in the region? Previously, the Population understood e-learning to be in a class room, now it is no
longer the case, even when you are not in the real classroom environment, Education can continue. This has now
started growing as a habit among the Population of the People living in Arua city. Given the irrefutably robust
evidence that stakeholder support constitutes an indispensable prerequisite for propelling e-learning effectiveness
to its highest potential, it is strongly recommended that educational institutions dedicate focused, strategic efforts
towards comprehensively cultivating endorsement from all key constituencies.
