TOURS AND TRAVEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: A CASE STUDY OF VIRUNGA HOTEL AND CAMPSITE IN KISORO DISTRICT WESTERN UGANDA (Issue 6)
The following goals served as the framework for the study, which focused on the tours and
travel management system and included a case study of the Virunga Hotel and Campground
in western Uganda's Kisoro district: To examine the issues with the management of the
current manual tours and travel management system at the Virunga Hotel and Campsite in
the Kisoro District, to create a web-based system that will improve information by making
it more thorough, efficient, and accurate, thus minimizing the delays currently experienced
with the current manually operated system at the Virunga Hotel and Campsite in the Kisoro
District, and to carry out a web-based tours and travel administration system that will aid
in people's appreciation of the world's natural wonders. They have been utilizing a manual
Tours & Travel administration system because the scope of the present (file based) system
was discovered to be high, making a proportion of 50 (90.9%) and 5 (9.1%) in databases
systems. A new web-based system for managing tours and travel was created with the
potential to store a sizable amount of data and information. The primary distinction
between the previous system and the new Web-Based Tours and Travel Administration
System is the use of computers in place of paper and books for data collection and
administration. Less storage space is needed. Additionally, it is far more effective because
it can provide reports quickly and with few mistakes. Clients are implored to use the webbased tours and travel management system as it is easily accessible from anywhere around
the globe as long as one has internet connection. This will improve customer experience as
booking becomes very easy and the client can see the services and their quality available at
the hotel without needing to physically be present at the hotel.
