A Study to Determine the Impact of Technology on Advancement of Entrepreneurship Development in Uganda a Case Study of Gbk Limited Mbarara

Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the impact of technology on advancement of entrepreneurship development in Uganda a case study of GBK limited Mbarara Uganda. The study was guided by the following research objectives; to identify the impact of technology advancement and entrepreneurship development in Uganda mainly GBK Limited Mbarara. To examine the concepts of the entrepreneurship development in Uganda mainly at GBK Limited Mbarara. To examine the relationship between the technology advancement and entrepreneurship development in Uganda. A total of 70 respondents including GBK staffs which included; employees’ managers both top and operational for regardless of their qualifications in the services as well as government officials. The study applied both qualitative and quantitative research designs where interviews, questionnaires and observation methods of data collection were used. Data was collected from both primary and secondary sources. Data were processed and analyzed using formal tables, pie charts, graphs, narrative text. It finally included, Data presentation, analysis and interpretation of results as well as Discussion of findings, conclusion and recommendation finally the further research studies. From the findings, 15(21.4%) said that there is relationship between technology advancement on the entrepreneurship development as the majority respondents, 14(20%) also mentioned that improve production is one the example of the relationship between technology and entrepreneurship development in the business, 12(17.2) and 12(17.2%) agreed that Optimize production and improvement of communication have an influence, as well financial recording 11(15.7%) have all research.miu.ac.ug/publications 308 METROPOLITAN JOURNAL OF SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH ISSN: 1813-4270 Vol. 2 Issue 5, August - 2023, Pages: 308-316 agreed that there is relationship. Massive sensitization campaigns to enrich the public about the existing technology like personal computers, desktops smartphones and tablets, social media platforms, internet technology (searching content, electronic banking, virtual technology among others since the public seem not to be aware of technology advancement that can be applied to the entrepreneurship and how significant they are in business world.
