This study examined the relationship between supply chain management (SCM) practices and operational efficiency in logistics companies, with specific reference to DHL Uganda. The research was guided by three objectives: to assess the effect of inventory management on operational efficiency, to evaluate the influence of supplier relationship management on operational efficiency, and to examine the role of information technology integration in enhancing operational efficiency at DHL Uganda. A cross-sectional survey design was employed, and data were collected from 178 respondents comprising supply chain officers, operations managers, warehouse staff, and IT personnel at DHL Uganda. Results of descriptive analysis indicated moderate-to-high levels of SCM practice implementation across inventory management (mean = 3.78, SD = 0.71), supplier relationship management (mean = 3.52, SD = 0.84), and IT integration (mean = 4.01, SD = 0.66). Pearson correlation analysis confirmed significant positive relationships between all SCM variables and operational efficiency. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the three SCM dimensions collectively accounted for 74.2% of variance in operational efficiency (R² = 0.742), with IT integration as the strongest predictor (β = 0.389). The study concludes that robust SCM practices are critical to operational excellence in logistics and recommends enhanced IT infrastructure investment, supplier partnership development, and real-time inventory management systems.
